The team behind the THORChain project is composed of experienced professionals from the blockchain and cryptocurrency industry.
The core team includes CEO and Founder, Michael Zochowski, who has been involved in the blockchain space since 2013 and has extensive experience in software engineering, product management, and business development. He is joined by CTO and Co-Founder, Andrew Lee, who has a background in distributed systems engineering and has worked on several projects related to blockchain technology. The team also includes Chief Scientist, David Burden, who has a PhD in computer science from Stanford University and has been involved in the blockchain space since 2014.
He is joined by Chief Architect, Matthew Finestone, who holds a Masters degree in computer science from MIT and has worked on several projects related to distributed systems engineering. The team also includes Senior Software Engineer, Matt Prewitt, who holds a Masters degree in computer science from Stanford University and has worked on several projects related to distributed systems engineering. He is joined by Senior Software Engineer/Architecture Lead, Johnathon Williams, who holds a Masters degree in computer science from Stanford University and has worked on several projects related to distributed systems engineering.
Finally, the team also includes Product Manager/Designer/Developer Advocate Mike Miller who holds a Masters degree in Computer Science from Stanford University and has extensive experience working with startups as well as enterprise companies.
