What is the governance model for Decentraland?
Decentraland’s governance model is based on a decentralized autonomous organization (DAO).
The DAO is responsible for making decisions about the development and management of Decentraland. It is composed of MANA token holders, who are able to vote on proposals that affect the future of Decentraland. The DAO is structured in such a way that it can be easily adapted to accommodate changes in the Decentraland ecosystem.
This allows for greater flexibility and responsiveness to the needs of the community. The DAO is made up of three main components: 1. The Council: The Council consists of elected representatives from the community who are responsible for making decisions about Decentraland’s development and management.
2. The Community: The Community consists of all MANA token holders who are able to vote on proposals that affect Decentraland’s future. 3.
The Core Team: The Core Team consists of developers, designers, and other professionals who are responsible for implementing the decisions made by the Council and Community. The governance model also includes a system of checks and balances to ensure that all decisions are made in the best interests of Decentraland’s users and stakeholders. This includes a dispute resolution system, which allows users to submit disputes regarding any decision made by the Council or Community, as well as an appeals process which allows users to appeal any decision they feel was not fair or just.
Overall, Decentraland’s governance model is designed to ensure that all decisions are made with transparency and accountability, while still allowing for flexibility and responsiveness to changes in the ecosystem.
