There are no restrictions on who can join or use the network. When it comes to buying tokens on the Helium Network, there are some restrictions in place. The Helium Token (HNT) is a security token and is subject to securities laws in certain jurisdictions.
As such, individuals or entities located in certain jurisdictions may not be able to purchase HNT tokens due to local laws and regulations. Additionally, individuals or entities located in countries that have imposed sanctions against the United States may also be restricted from purchasing HNT tokens. In order to purchase HNT tokens, individuals must complete a KYC/AML process and be approved by Helium’s compliance team before they can purchase any tokens.
This process helps ensure that all users of the network are compliant with applicable laws and regulations.
