Are there any forks planned for the ETC network in the near future ?
At the moment, there are no planned forks for the Ethereum Classic (ETC) network in the near future.
However, the ETC network is constantly evolving and there is always a possibility of a fork in the future. The ETC team has been working on various projects such as Atlantis and Agharta, which are both hard forks that have been proposed to improve the network. The Atlantis hard fork was proposed to improve interoperability between Ethereum and Ethereum Classic networks, while Agharta was proposed to increase scalability and security of the ETC network.
Both of these hard forks have been discussed by the ETC community but have not yet been implemented. In addition to these two proposed hard forks, there are also other potential upgrades that could be implemented in the future. These include changes to the consensus algorithm, improvements to smart contract functionality, and more.
Ultimately, whether or not any of these upgrades will be implemented depends on how much support they receive from the ETC community. As such, it is difficult to predict if any forks will be planned for the ETC network in the near future.
