Are there any fees associated with using or running a node on Theta Network?
Yes, there are fees associated with using or running a node on Theta Network.
When users send transactions on the Theta Network, they must pay a small fee in order to incentivize the nodes that process and validate the transaction. This fee is known as a “gas fee” and is paid in Theta Fuel (TFuel). In addition to the gas fees, users who run a node on Theta Network must also pay for bandwidth and storage costs associated with running the node.
These costs vary depending on the size of the node and its data requirements. Finally, users who stake their TFuel tokens to become Guardian Nodes will also incur fees associated with their staking rewards. Guardian Nodes receive rewards for validating blocks and helping secure the network, but they must pay a portion of these rewards back to the network in order to remain eligible for future rewards.
